New dwelling with semi-detached granny flat required waterproofing to bathroom, ensuite, laundry and bathroom in flat.

We used a Class 3 flexible Polymer Modified membrane for the wet area waterproofing to allow for any new-home settlement.

The wet areas that were waterproofed were on a concrete slab with villaboard wall linings which is the most common method of construction today.

In the main ensuite we applied the membrane to the full sower walls and the full floor as there is provision for a free-standing bath. This ensures that any water which spills from the bath does not create any waterproofing problems later on.

Wide niches in the showers and above the baths complete the areas. Waterproofing niches requires extra attention especially in the shower due to the amount of water received daily.
