Conditions of Warranty.
NOTE: Certificate NOT VALID until we have received cleared funds.
- All care and responsibility should be taken by follow on trades and services to protect the membrane prior to tiling or overcoating with screed bed or similar.
- If, in the event that you accidentally or otherwise damage the waterproof membrane you are required to contact Supaflex Waterproofing as soon as the damage has been noticed so we can rectify that damage before any further work is carried out.
- All sub trades are required to keep off waterproofing membranes until protective finishes or tiling has been carried out.
- All substrates, wall and floor linings shall meet Australian Standards for the purpose they are designed for to be used in wet area installation, outside decks and patios and shall be fixed to the relevant standards and manufacturer’s instructions prior to waterproofing. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
- Any attempt to modify any components of the waterproofing system used (cut down water stop angles, cutting or tearing of membrane around fittings, fixtures, waste outlets, penetrations or other similar protusions) will void any warranty.
- If waterproofing over screed bed on Scyon or similar cement board, the owner / builder will ensure that floor joints and perimeter junctions have been sealed prior to screed topping being laid and screed bed has reinforcing mesh in scrred bed.
- All fixings and fastenings shall be in place prior to membrane installation to allow for correct detailing in the waterproofing system used.
- Any penetration of the finished membrane by anyone or any object will deem the warranty void.
- Any structural building failure and/or defects that cause damage to the substrate where areas are waterproofed will void any warrantees.
- If, in the event that our work is not carried out within the terms of the warranty, Supaflex Waterproofing’s liability is limited to the supply and installation of new replacement membrane only.
- Warranty is valid for a period of 6 years from installation date on certificate.
